Self-Propelled Guns (SPG's)

The much maligned "Arty". Loved by some and hated by most. They are much like a Police Officer in the real world. They are loved when they save your ass, but loathed when they come to get you.

Artillery is not as easy to play as some might think. The wait until your round hits its target makes them hard to play. The worst part of playing artillery is that teammates tend to get in the way of yoru shots. Most of the time it is your own teams scouts that are circling to close to a target. You will get called all sorts of names when you accidentally kill a teammate.

That being said, for those who have the aptitude to play artillery it is as personally rewarding as any other tank class in-game; even if it is not as experientially or financially rewarding as the other classes. Artillery players need more patience and a thicker skin than players of other tank classes. A good artillery player learns to anticipate the moves of the enemy players and favorite "hides" from which to shoot from. Your choices of hides should give you not only the best shots at the most active zones on any given map, but also the best camoflauge from enemy sight.
